Chippewa Valley Flute Circle

Description

Serving Michigan, we provide a safe haven for people of all ages who enjoy the native American flute. No musical ability is required.

More Information

Formed under the guidance of John Sarantos in 2002, we meet monthly on the first Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at the Chippewa Nature Center in Midland, Michigan. We provide lessons for those who would like them, and many of our members are available for performances and demonstrations. We own many flutes from a variety of makers, and are happy to talk about them. Our meetings are opportunities to meet with other flute players, to hear and learn new music and techniques, and to play without judgment; our motto is, "There are no mistakes, only variations." All are welcome; bring your flute (not required) and your sense of humor (required). Visit us at www.flutecircle.org. and write us at jimurph@chartermi.net. Member INAFA.
