The Indiana Flute Circle
Description
Our circle is a friendly community for anyone interested in Native American-style flutes. Each flute circle gathering is shaped by those who show up. People who attend our relaxed group include musicians and flute makers of all skill-levels, collectors and enthusiasts of contemporary and traditional North American Indigenous, Native American-style flutes, as well as folks who just like to listen to flute music.
More Information
We gather every third Sunday of each month from 12:30 to about 4:30, usually at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center on the University of Indianapolis campus, located at 1400 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227, in room 115. On occasion, the gathering might be hosted by a flute circle member in their home. When this occurs, information including directions will be provided in advance at The Indiana Flute Circle.
You are welcomed to join us anytime if you are at all interested in Native American-style flutes. Whether you are a beginner or have been playing or making flutes for decades, you will find the Indiana flute circle to be a nurturing group in which to ask questions, learn more, deepen your flute wisdom, play music with others or solo, discover specific building techniques, and more. Some folks simply come to our circle to listen and absorb the energy our flute enthusiasm creates.
