The new development is that I have a good number of tracks on this CD where flute is accompanied by guitar. That changes the style of the music drastically. For example, have a listen to “They Came from Mexico” or “So English.”
My affair with the Japanese flute, the shakuhachi, is evolving. There’s a couple of pieces on this album with the voice of the bamboo. Slowly, slowly I am learning to blow the bamboo.
The other flutes used are all Native American style flutes.
I have also hopefully been able to improve the sound quality of the recordings and reduced the amount of white background noise. Not completely, I know. It’s the music that counts, not the recording technique.
